BUTTERWORTH LAY BUDDHIST SOCIETY

Butterworth Lay Buddhist Society (BLBS) is a Buddhist organization located in Butterworth, Mainland Penang. BLBS stands out as the harmonious intersection of 3 main branches of Buddhism, namely Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. Unlike other Buddhist temples, BLBS does not house any monks or nuns. Not led by any specific branch or one master, it is run by a committee made up of laities from the local community.
